DENTAL VENEERS
If You Want To Get Dental Veneers In Phuket Thailand, You Must First Learn What Dental Veneers are…
Dental veneers are thin layers of porcelain or composite resin that are applied and bonded to surface and edges of the teeth. Veneers are a quick and effective solution to improve superficial issues such as color (shade of white), sizing and shape of the tooth.
The most common dental veneers at our clinic in Phuket Thailand are
Porcelain Dental Veneers.
They are thin pieces of porcelain used to create natural-looking covers on top of your existing teeth, while also providing strength and resilience comparable to natural tooth enamel.
Porcelain Dental Veneers are often the cosmetic dental procedure of choice for those looking to make slight position alterations or to change tooth shape, size, and/or color.
Many of our patients at New Smile Dentists Phuket Thailand are already benefiting from dental porcelain veneers, which have vastly improved the appearance of their teeth and enjoyed their new looks.
The Benefits of Dental Veneers
Due to the fact that dental veneers are customized for each patient, it is very difficult to be able to tell the difference between a veneer and a natural tooth. The advantage of having veneers is that they are able to resist coffee and tea stains, as well as cigarette smoke due to the quality of materials they are made from. This is one of the reasons why dental veneers are such a popular procedure in Phuket. The difference between crowns and veneers is that, your natural teeth stay primarily the same with only a minimal amount being adjusted to fit the veneer.
For teeth that resist whitening procedure, veneers can make even the darkest teeth appear bright white, as well as improving the tooth shape and/or size.
If you are unhappy with tooth color, shape, size or minor alignments, dental veneers would be one of the reasonable choices for you to consider. At New Smile Dentists New Smile Dentists in Patong Phuket, we have a team of dental specialists to get your new smile sorted in a very short time and at an affordable dental fee.

There are two main types of material used to make DENTAL VENEERS:
Composite veneer and Porcelain veneer
Dental veneers can be made from either porcelain or composite resin materials.
Composite Resin dental veneers are thinner and still require removal of the tooth surface before placement.
Porcelain dental veneers are more resistant to stains than resin composite and better mimic the light-reflecting properties of natural teeth.

Considerations Before Having Veneers
Because a portion of the original tooth enamel is reduced, getting veneers is not considered a reversible treatment. This is because even though new veneers and adjustments can be made, the tooth’s original condition will never be the same. After the porcelain veneers are attached you may have some temporary sensitivity to hot and cold temperatures due to the removal of the thin layer of enamel. This sensitivity typically disappears within a few days. In a healthy mouth with properly applied veneers, and where destructive forces are minimized or eliminated, you should be able to use porcelain veneers just like your own teeth. Although they are very strong, veneers are also brittle. It’s worth pointing out that unnecessary stresses should be avoided when having veneered teeth -for example you should not bite your fingernails, chew ice, or open a beer bottle with your veneers!
New Smile Dentists Clinic in Phuket advises that patients who acquire veneered teeth must be careful and take extra care within the first few days.
Deciding whether dental veneers may be the right choice.
As stated above, it is necessary that those who apply for dental veneer should have healthy teeth and gums. Patients with conditions such as tooth decay, gum diseases, and root canal infection do not usually qualify for veneers. However, once these cases are treated by a dentist, patients are usually cleared for dental veneers. Additionally, those patients who have a tendency to grind or clench their teeth too often may also not qualify to have veneers installed.
Maintenance of Dental Veneers
Maintaining porcelain veneers is not difficult:
– patients must simply treat them the same way normal teeth are treated, with routine brushing and flossing.
– Using non-abrasive fluoride toothpaste will be suggested for most patients.
A few days or a week after your veneers are placed, you will be required to return to the office for a follow-up visit and evaluation so that the dentist can see how your mouth is reacting to the veneers. This is a standard practice for Phuket dentists. Even if you feel the veneers are a success, this appointment is vital to your future oral health.
For those who have a tendency to clench or grind their teeth, your dentist may assist you with a nighttime bite guard to avoid damaging your dental veneer.
